With a game library set to include more than 180 games by yearend, Nintendo GameCube presents a multitude of options to shoppers seeking the perfect game or console bundle this holiday season. To make things easier, GameCubicle.com has established a listing of the best buys on Nintendo GameCube this holiday season.

Games on this list have an ESRB rating of Everyone (E) or better (with the exception of Super Smash Bros: Melee). Games in this category are suitable for gamers between 6 and 12 years old. The left column considers only games released this year while the right column considers all games in GameCube's library since launch.

Suggestions:

Gamers under the age of 8 may have some some difficulty with the problem solving and dexterity requirements of many E-rated games. Best buys for this age group: Mario Party 4, Sonic Mega Collection, Ty The Tasmanian Tiger, Scooby Doo!, Spongebob Squarepants, Frogger Beyond, and Tarzan.

*Super Smash Bros: Melee is rated T for Comic Mischief and Mild Violence. However, GameCubicle has found the game to be suitable for most gamers 9 and older.

Games on this list have an ESRB rating of Teen (T) or better. Games in this category are suitable for gamers between 13 and 16 years of age. The left column considers 2002 releases while the right column takes into consideration all games in GameCube's library since launch.

Games on this list have an ESRB rating of Mature (M) or better. Games in this category are suitable for gamers 17 years of age or older. The left column considers only games released this year while the right column considers all games in GameCube's library since launch.

In industry that develops content almost exclusively for male gamers, finding a great game for the female gamer you know can prove to be a difficult task. Below is a list of our top picks for girl gamers of all ages.

Sometimes games can provide an enjoyable experience for those smart enough to have gotten their hands on a copy. Other times, games can be simply horrible... providing a fun experience to a very slim few and a major headache to a majority that just wishes they could get their money back. The following is a list of the worst GameCube games available.

Looking for a game of a specific genre? Consider the following listings of the best 2002 releases for action, adventure, mature adventure, role playing, racing, fighting, party, and first person genres.

If you're looking for the best alternative, baseball, basketball, boxing, football, golf, hockey, or soccer game on GameCube, look no further. Sports games were not included in the above game listings. Instead, all sports titles - divided by individual sport - have been ranked below.
